Palazzetto Giravolta is the perfect place to base yourself for your Apulian holiday. You are just around the corner from shops, restaurants and bars and at the same time set back in a quiet street of the old and authentic Giravolte Area.
The house consists of two levels above the ground floor. A grand portal at street level opens onto a beautiful entrance hall which sets the tone for the atmosphere and character of the entire Palazzetto. All rooms have wide French-windows opening onto balconies overlooking either a little inner courtyard or the small and picturesque front street.
This home is managed directly by its owners, Roberto and Stephane, with the local help of Pamela. They will be your point of contact before and during your stay.
The Palazzetto was named after this part of the old town known as the ‘turns of Lecce’ by reference to its web of winding streets of medieval origin that were aimed at confusing the enemy in case they succeeded in penetrating the city walls.
Giravolta is an invitation to follow your instinct and lose yourself in the maze of perfumes and ‘chiaroscuro’ (light-dark contrast), the doors, the coats of arms, the small details, the balconies and the colour of the stone eroded by time. Whenever you need to reorient yourself, just look up for the bell tower of the Duomo, acting as a lighthouse in the middle of the sea of alleys.
